Booking system for photo and video studios
A booking page where clients pay a deposit, a calendar that cannot double-book, and overtime and equipment that actually end up on the bill — so every hour of your cyclorama and your sets is paid for.
Next free slot: Video set, 17:00
- 1Booked online, no phone calls
- 2Deposit collected when booking
- 3Reminder sent before the visit
Where a photo studio quietly loses money
The shoot ran long
Forty minutes over, the next client already at the door. The house rules say overtime is billed — but nobody wrote down when the shoot actually ended.
Booked, then silence
A Saturday held for a client who never paid and never came. Without a deposit, one empty booking costs you the best slot of the week.
Lights and backdrops for free
The strobes, video lights, a paper backdrop, the make-up room — handed over on a word and forgotten when the bill was made.
What Hourgrid does for a photo or video studio
Booking with a deposit
Clients pick a free slot themselves and pay the deposit by card into your own Stripe account. An unpaid request holds the time only for the hours you set.
Time to reset the set
A buffer after every booking to clean up and repaint the cyc. It counts as occupied, so nobody can book straight into it.
Overtime in blocks
Close the session with the real end time: overtime is counted in the blocks you choose — say 15 minutes — at your own rate.
Equipment on the bill
Lights, backdrops, a slider, props — priced per booking or per hour and added to the total. Clients can add them on the booking page too.
Photos before and after
A condition report with photos on every booking, and a damage deposit kept apart from the rent, so it never goes back by mistake.
Evenings and weekends cost more
Prices by weekday and time of day, a minimum booking length, and hour packages for photographers who come back every month.
Questions owners ask
- Can clients book without calling me?
- Yes. You get a public booking page with your rooms, free hours and prices. The client picks a slot, accepts your rules and, if you ask for it, pays a deposit.
- Where does the deposit money go?
- Straight to your own Stripe account — Hourgrid never holds it. You choose the deposit size and how long an unpaid request keeps the slot.
- I have two sets and a make-up room. Which plan?
- Starter covers two rooms, Studio up to eight, Venue has no limit. Each room has its own hours, prices and cleaning time.
- Can I try it before paying?
- Starter is free for three days, no card needed. Setting up rooms and the booking page takes about ten minutes.
